An ideal meeting, for weather and snow conditions, those found by the quartet of the World Cup slalomists in Saas-Fee.
Yesterday the return from the Swiss glacier, after six days in which Irene Curtoni, Martina Peterlini, Lara Della Mea and Marta Rossetti also carried out some work sessions (between the wide doors) together with the elite trio present in Saas-Fee, or Brignone, Goggia and Bassino. The coach of the blue specialists, Matteo Guadagnini, had spoken in recent days of the need to work a lot more in this summer-autumn period, underlining how Marta Rossetti herself needed to level up after a somewhat uphill start of preparation .
And the 21-year-old from Garda came out very satisfied from this training block: “We skied 6 days in a really intense way - commented Marta - with a lot of quality and quantity. The first 3 days we worked on the giant also comparing ourselves with the three girls of the elite group and when there is a comparison you can improve and learn. From day to day I perceived and had the awareness of continuous improvement ".
Rossetti and her companions then thought about their discipline: “We did a great job on the slalom, with very compact snow conditions and steep slopes. We have introduced specific work on tactics, a peculiarity that was lacking last year because I am still young and at the first experiences in the World Cup, so we have carried out tests on various tracks with particular figures and several rounds also in parallel.
I am happy to be able to return to Saas-Fee in a few days already, because the conditions to work have been really excellent and therefore I thank the Federation again for having guaranteed us the best ”.
