Stephanie Brunner does not give up, on the contrary he raises: "Giving up after the three injuries was never an option"

The Austrian gigantist, who was arrested three times in 17 months for breaking the crusader, has been preparing for skiing for the next summer for months. So he spoke to colleagues at skiweltcup.tv

“Give up and give up? It was never an option despite the series of injuries. " It is determined as never before that Stephanie Brunner, the 26-year-old Tyrolean specialist who had already reported herself as a reality of the world giant, before the triple knee crash stopped her after the Olympic season. In the space of 17 months, in fact, the star of Austria between the wide doors (she was now the reference after the injuries of Veith and Brem) saw her career stop brutally, first with the crusader jumped in March 2018 at the Austrian championships and then again in January 2019 in training in Pozza di Fassa, just during a year in which she had immediately returned to the front and had finally conquered that highly anticipated first podium in the World Cup, in the giant of Killington of November 2018. As if that were not enough, the left knee gave way again last August, in the middle of the preparation for Ushuaia, preventing "Stephi" from participating in any race in the last season: "I feel I still have the potential to return to the top - he said the Austrian in an interview with colleague Andreas Raffeiner of skiweltcup.tv - As long as I have the opportunity, from the physical point of view, to practice this sport I will continue to try. So far, rehabilitation has been running smoothly and I have made very good progress. " Coronavirus or not, for Brunner everyday life has not changed much: “I am well equipped with the gym at home and I can continue my training, without major problems. What matters is to look ahead with optimism and in the meantime to respect the restrictive measures, hoping that after the pandemic we can start again in the best possible way ". And the return on the snow? "If the physical tests we do in the coming weeks go well, I am confident that I will be able to ski again in August."
