Less than two months after the hip operation, here is Dressen on the snow: World Cup dream still alive

First day in the free field on the snow of Kasberg for the German sprinter: a miracle will be attempted for Garmisch in two weeks, the last cup races before Cortina.

While his great rivals were busy in the second test on the Streif, which he tamed in the 2018 edition of the Kitzbuehel downhill, Thomas Dressen found himself experiencing the great emotion of returning to the snow. Also in Austria, but on a track in the Kasberg im Almtal area; some "laps" in the free field, less than two months after the operation on the left hip suffered by the Bavarian champion, an injury that has already made him lose a good part of the season. “It didn't go wrong for the first time ...”, commented on social media Dressen, who is looking for a half miracle. That of returning on the occasion of the home stage, scheduled in his Garmisch-Partenkirchen with super-g and downhill on February 5-6, the last appointment before the world championships. And Cortina 2021 is still in the thoughts of one of the greatest sprinters of the lot, even if the expectations cannot be too high after what happened.
