With him we have seen the future of blue skiing, but also outside national borders.
There were not too many doubts that Alex Vinatzer would soon reach the top of the world slalom, it was only a matter of time and of course there will still be ups and downs on the path of the 20 year old Val Gardena. The third place on the night of Zagreb, however, assumes an enormous specific weight, after having obtained the best result of his career in the first seasonal race in Levi, ended in 12th place.
He knew he had much more in his legs and head Alex, who left the scene in Val d''Isère and ready for the "month of the slalom"; starting it this way will give enormous confidence for all the classics to follow, with a fundamental aspect concerning the starting number. Already in Campiglio, Wednesday night for the appointment with the 3Tre (where last year Vinatzer was 8th halfway through the race ...), the blue talent will be close to the top 15 in the world, given that in the absence of Hirschbuehl, who already gave up for an injury accused yesterday in training, is the 16th in WCSL.
In the post race he is still incredulous but ... not too much: "It is fantastic, but today I had the right sensations - the first words of Vinatzer - As I said after the first heat, I felt better and better, door after door, and in the second I attacked to find the best possible result. Of course, finishing on the podium was very difficult, but I did it. "
