A huge disappointment, when the sky above Adelboden seemed to be only blue, halfway through the race of a giant dream for Italy.
For Luca De Aliprandini it was until the second intermediate of the decisive round of Adelboden, before derailing on the most beautiful, when even Kranjec had been almost tamed; a blow similar to that of the first Olympic heat of PyeongChang, when the Trentino was now virtually second behind Marcel Hirscher.
Without words, in the post race, the 29 year old blue who admits that the idea was to play for the victory, and not only the podium promised on the eve, when he said he felt in great shape; so he confirmed, only the icing on a perfectly prepared cake was missing.
