Emanuele Buzzi already wants to run fast on his skis: "Ready to grow again after the" injury "

At 24 he had already amazed everyone with 6th place in the Wengen descent, right on the day of the stop for the tibial fracture of the right leg.

That fall that came after the finish line of the most tiring and hard test of the Coppa circuit, on the more than 4 km of track of the Lauberhorn, however, will certainly not stop the growth of Emanuele Buzzi. The sprinter sappadino has already returned to skiing in early July, starting to feel the best sensations on the snows of the Stelvio. Respecting the recovery plan, Lele finds himself practically on a par with his teammates in the preparation for next season, although obviously the best condition is far and four months and beyond that divide him from the Lake Louise weekend that will open the season of the fast races, all of them will be needed to see a Buzzi already competitive in Canada. "I spent three months on crutches, physiotherapy, gym and swimming pool - he explained in an interview to the FIS communication office - I put the skis back on and now I can follow the team program which includes another stage at Stelvio and then the departure for Ushuaia (scheduled for next August 19th, ed) ”. Going back to that day in Wengen (it was last January 19th), Buzzi confesses that "as soon as I crossed the finish line I was happy with my skiing, even though I didn't know the result yet. Falling, I immediately realized that it was something serious, but I first thought of the 6th place I got in the race and, I have to say, even in the afternoon, once the diagnosis was known, I was undecided whether to be happy with the best placement of the my career or sad knowing that the season had already ended there ”. The '94 class of Sappada also spoke of the 'importance of being part of a team of the highest level, with champions like Paris, Innerhofer and Fill that are and will be fundamental. Even more so in the last season, I realized how important teamwork was to grow together. " The objectives in Buzzi's mind are clear: “I always thought that for me it was necessary to gradually increase in level, both in the physical preparation and in the results on the track. So it has been so far, despite the last two injuries, so I will have to continue working to get to the top, there is no other way ”.
