The 21-year-old Styrian injured himself in the second downhill of the European Cup in Wengen: break of the front crusader and the menisci of the left knee.

Another injury, yet another in the Austrian home after those of the Bormio weekend that involved Hannes Reichelt and Christopher Neumayer.
The season ended prematurely even for one of the Wunderteam's most anticipated young sprinters, although not yet new to the World Cup: we are talking about Manuel Traninger, a 21-year-old Styrian who paid dearly for the second European Cup descent which took place on Saturday in Wengen (with blue brace signed by Cazzaniga and Battilani).
Due to the red and white talent, Austrian champion of descent in charge (with two podiums in the continental circuit) the passage of the Hundschopf was fatal, with the accident that caused him to break the anterior cruciate ligament and the internal and external meniscus of the knee left.
Traninger was already operated on today at the Hochrum clinic in Innsbruck.
