Salzburg is now the home of Henrik Kristoffersen, who spoke to Servus TV on Monday evening, examining all the issues related to the next vintage in less than two weeks in Soelden.
The Norwegian champion clearly points to the big target and admits that, without Marcel Hirscher at the start, "the prospects of being able to do it are certainly better. It is equally clear that the best thing is to win the races when the best is there. In Soelden there will be no skier number 1, but after next season there will be a new reference, "said Kristoffersen, revealing that he wants to meet the now former Austrian rival at the end of the season for some motocross sessions together (it's a great one common passion).
On rivals in the race for the cup, HK94 did not expose too much: "Pinturault and Paris in the first place, then I think Marco Schwarz could still have some post-injury problems, but within 1-2 years he will be ready to play the crystal ball".
Kristoffersen will be training again, like a year ago, with some super-g sessions and descent to Copper Mountain, on the occasion of the North American trip, but the plans provide for participation only in the super-g and the Hinterstoder combined at the end of February, a bit like what happened in Bansko last February. All the attention is therefore concentrated on giant and especially the slalom, where Henrik admits to "having to regain the level to be constantly at the top".
Wednesday the transfer to Soelden, with the Norwegians who will train on the Rettenbach on Thursday and, solved for months with the problems with the federation, the 25 year old Norwegian will finally have the maximum support with his private team: "The boss is my father Lars, I have one coach and two skiman Rossignol; moreover, Robert Trenkwalder of the Red Bull team supports me to the maximum and finally, like Hirscher, Pinturault or Mikaela Shiffrin, after 2-3 years that I wanted him, I have the opportunity to work with one of my team ".
The relationship with Austria has become more and more solid, as the person directly involved admits: "I feel a bit Austrian, here more people recognize me than in Norway. Many believe that I only have one apartment in Salzburg, actually I live almost all year and I'm sure I will stay in Austria until the end of my career ".
