It is snowing, it is snowing hard in Val d''Isère, but perhaps a little less than expected and with the possibility that the weather will improve slightly, in view of the technical races scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
The reversal of the tests, with the giant moved to Sunday, became necessary given that today and tomorrow are the two worst days, but the slalom remains fixed at 9.30 am on Saturday morning for the 1st run, without skiing on the track on this Friday that will see the hundreds of volunteers from the Haute-Savoie area do everything to keep the status of the "Face de Bellevarde" good, in view of the men's World Cup races of the weekend.
On Thursday evening, with the arrival of the teams, the director of the Club des Sports in Val d''Isère, the former downer Ingrid Jacquemod (a native of the Savoyard town), said she was confident about the regular dispute of the races: "The Face is ready after the great work done on Thursday on the track, the bottom is excellent even if we wait for the snow (punctually arriving in the night) and a bit of wind - he explained to Ski Chrono - The positive thing is that the forecasts, decidedly negative for the weekend, are improving â€.
Above 10-15 cm of snow accumulations, on a track like the Face it becomes complicated to manage the situation, but everything will be done to avoid cancellations (last year the slalom jumped, but the wind situation was disastrous): " The schedules are confirmed for the slalom (9.30-13.00, ed), our team is at work day and night - concludes Jacquemod - I am convinced that we will make it ".
