The Norwegian champion awaits the final ruling from the Oslo court, more than two and a half years after the start of the dispute with his federation

Henrik Kristoffersen is spending his spring holidays in the warmth of the Arabian peninsula, while thousands of kilometers away he is about to decide the fate of the cause that the giant champion has attempted, now over two and a half years ago (it was the autumn 2016 and, in protest, Henrik even missed the opening slalom in Levi), to the Norwegian federation for the impossibility of using the Red Bull sponsorship on his helmet.
It seems that by the end of this first week of May, there will be a verdict from the Oslo district court; as is known, the federation requires all athletes to use the Telenor brand, the Scandinavian country's telecommunications giant with which it has a contract until 2022 (the only exception concerned Aksel Lund Svindal, who had however signed the contract with Red Bull before the federal exclusive with the new sponsor). Kristoffersen considers it an injustice, as well as economic damage (it has requested 1.6 million euros for the federsci for the missed income, ed), and has gone all the way to get the advertising space and, who knows, also change the tied system to sponsorships in this world.
As reported by skiweltcup.tv, in fact, the side effects of a possible decision in favor of the athlete could have similar consequences to the Bosman law that distorted the rule on foreign players in the world of football. According to Johan Sares, the head of the Swedish national team, the future of sports funding in the various countries will not change, also because "in my ten years in the ski association, there has always been good collaboration between the federation and athletes. The reasons for the sentence will still be important ".
