The Friulian specialist, who yesterday returned to the World Cup after more than 11 months and the best result of his career in the European Cup, has suffered a distorting-contusive trauma: now the exams to establish the extent of the recovery, but the world chances have vanished.

Another injury in the men's national team, this time occurred to a slalom rider who had returned to the top circuit on the occasion of the first of the two Flachau slaloms and should also have participated in the second scheduled today.
Hans Vaccari, exiting yesterday in the first heat (faced with bib 60 by the Friulian), suffered a sprain-contusive trauma to his right knee, which will be subject to further examinations in the next few hours by the FISI medical commission. Recovery times will be established, but the chances of playing a possible card for the Cortina World Championships with teammates have vanished, after Hans had regained a double call-up to the World Cup following the excellent results in the European Cup, in particular the 6th place in the second slalom of Vaujany, best placement of his young career in the continental circuit.
