The next season will always see three more technical races than the fast ones, but with three combined and four parallels you risk an exaggerated imbalance. From December 18 to 22, there are five Italian races one after the other ...

Compared to the draft calendar of the Women's World Cup 2020/21, which we presented on Saturday, the next male season does not differ too much from the one just ended.
If the races originally scheduled for 2019/20 were 44 (10 descents, 8 super-g, 9 giants, 12 slalom, 3 combined and 2 parallel), in the year that will start on 25 October from Soelden there will be 42 appointments, pending clearly the ratification of the calendar at the next FIS congress. There will be two more parallels (4 instead of 2), with 2 super-gs and 2 slaloms less, therefore 10 descents, only 6 super-gs, 9 giants, 10 slaloms, 3 combined and precisely 4 parallels, of which 3 PGS and 1 PSL.
The differential between technical (19) and fast (16) races will remain identical, but even if the parallels in this year have not shifted too much between the big teams with different characteristics, it is clear that in theory it will be even more difficult for sprinters pure playing it in a general classification key, with the same Dominik Paris who on his return will have only 16 races available (in addition to trying in some combined and giant, hardly parallel).
At the level of locations and dates, as for women there will be the news of Zuers and Davos with the parallel, but few other variations. In order, after the weekend dedicated to the parallel (14-15 November) that follows Soelden, we will go to Levi on 22 November, then as usual the fast races of Lake Louise and the triptych of Beaver Creek (4 -6 December) with super-g, descent and giant. On Face de Bellevarde in Val d''Isère the technical tests of 12-13 December before the Italian campaign: the experiment of the descent in two heats has been postponed (unless new in May), the super-g of the Val Gardena to open, on Friday 18, the two days on the Saslong with descent on 19 and transfer to Alta Badia for giant and parallel giant on Sunday 20 and Monday 21. However, there will be five races in a row (an exaggeration ... ), given that the slalom in Madonna di Campiglio returns as scheduled on the fixed date of December 22nd for the night on the 3Tre.
And also the end of the year will be on our snow, with alpine descent and combined on the Stelvio di Bormio on December 28-29.
After the PSL in Davos on 1 January 2021, the slalom month with Zagreb on Wednesday 6 January, the technical races of Adelboden on 9-10 and the usual triptychs of Wengen (15-17 with combined, descent and slalom) and Kitzbuehel ( 22-24, super-g, descent and slalom), without any variation as for the Schladming slalom on January 26th. Chamonix returns as a fixed stage, but with a change from the last vintage, given that there will be the legendary descent on the "Verte des Houches" on Saturday 30 January, followed by the controversial parallel giant that this year has created endless problems ( and which is scheduled on Sunday ...).
The two days of Garmisch (5-6 February with descent and giant) will anticipate the world championships in Cortina, followed by the return of the boys to Bansko; the Bulgarian stage, which hosted the women this year, will see the third and final season combined on February 27, with a giant 24 hours later. There is doubt, in this period, related to the possibility of recovering the pre-Olympic fast races canceled due to the danger of Coronavirus in Yanqing, where women will compete on March 6-7, 2021. You should not go to China, we will proceed with the program classic that includes descent and super-g in Kvitfjell in the first weekend of March and then giant and slalom in Kranjska Gora on 13-14 March, before the finals of Lenzerheide (from 17 to 21).
