Val d''Isère expects a marked improvement in the weather from this evening. For the missed race, here are the first concrete hypotheses.

Not without some controversy, given that the same technicians on the track have confessed how it was almost impossible to bring home a regular and "dignified" race, given that already the slalom on the Face de Bellevarde had been reduced to a 35 second heat that would have risked ruin the show.
Val d''Isère will try again tomorrow to save the men's World Cup weekend, with much more confidence to compete in a complete race which, this was the choice made immediately after today's cancellation, led to the sacrifice of the giant. The weather, in fact, is given a clear improvement from this evening around 8pm, with no more snow and with the wind down, to be able to start tomorrow with the 1st run set at 9.30am (the second is scheduled for 12.30pm).
The competition between the wide doors will be recovered only later in the calendar, with the FIS announcing the choice in the next few days: the first concrete hypotheses, however, indicate a slip until late February, also because objectively spaces between Alta Badia and Adelboden, not to mention the subsequent period that will lead up to the post Schladming (January 28th), there really are none.
Here then that Austria could result in pole position (it would not be the first time, see Saalbach-Hinterglemm last year), with Hinterstoder who would like to add the giant to the weekend of February 29-March 1, 2020 which already provides super -g and combined. The alternative is represented by Chamonix, which would have margin at the level of dates on the Friday before the slalom and the parallel giant expected in France on 8 and 9 February 2020.
