Continues the series of retreats in alpine skiing both male and female, this time & egrave; the 30 year old Swedish & nbsp; Hans Olsson to announce the 'abandonment of the competitions.

& Ldquo; With the World Cup I have made many friends around the world and also a family - Olsson says that remains in the world of Alpine skiing: from next 1 & deg; August entrer & agrave; to be part of the organizing committee of the World & Aring; King 2019 -. It & rsquo; was a great period of my life and even though I did not win medals in major events consider successful in my career & rdquo ;.
Born August 27, 1984 in Mora, the CITY County of Dalarna (central Sweden) & nbsp; home d & rsquo; arrival of Vasaloppet, Swedish & ldquo; abnormal & rdquo; as a specialist of fast races and not of those techniques (but also achieved good results in combined), Hans Olsson won his first big result at the World Juniors in Maribor in 2004, the second and the last in which he participated, winning l & rsquo ; gold in super-G on 12 February 2004. Two months before his debut in the European Cup and in the continental event collezioner & agrave; 6 race wins between 2007 and 2011 and four other podium finishes. In World Cup debuts March 6, 2004 in the descent of Kvitfjell, his 155th and final race in the demonstration stage pi & ugrave; important & egrave; the downhill in Wengen last January 18.
Between 2006 and 2012 he has collected 11 placings in the top ten in Cup races including two third places in the downhill in Lake Louise on 29 November 2008 and in that of & Aring; king of & rsquo; 11 March 2009: & egrave; still l & rsquo; unique Swedish history to be on the podium in downhill in the World Cup. He took part in three editions of the World Cup from 2007 to 2011 and his best result a seventeenth place in the super combined in 2009. It & rsquo; was instead twelfth downhill at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in 2010, the only ones in which he participated.
Naturally, his career did not & egrave; been free from injuries, the most & ugrave; serious of which & egrave; was a fracture of the tibia and fibula in the descent of the finals of the European Cup in La Thuile of March 15, 2012 because of which & egrave; was forced to miss completely the following season and not once back & egrave; pi & ugrave; state levels of his best years. Now for Olsson starts a new, great adventure for which we wish him a big luck.
