With the sixth place in today's giant Kranjska Gora, Marcel Hirscher mathematically conquers the eighth consecutive general world cup.

The Austrian this season, so far, without counting the Finals in Soldeu, has won 10 races, including five special slalom, a parallel slalom and four giants. He also collected four more podiums including three second places and a third place. Marcel Hirscher brings home the overall Cup, the Giant World Cup and the Slalom World Cup. In his career he won, between General World Cups and Crystal Cups, 20 balls and equal the number of Cups won by Lindsey Vonn.
