The 22-year-old Swiss, who won the Beaver Creek super-g entered the World Cup winners' club, confesses without thinking of descent and giant.

At the third podium, the first victory came.
Not in the giant, the mother specialty also for Marco Odermatt, already third and second in the last two trials between the wide doors in the last World Cup vintage, between Kranjska Gora and Soldeu, but in a super-g among the most technical of the circuit , the one on the Birds of Prey of Beaver Creek that celebrated all the quality of the 22 year old Swiss.
The native of the canton of Nidwalden was capable of an extraordinary test, also seasoned with an enormous risk at the end of the initial wall, which did not cost him too many tenths; beaten Kilde and Mayer, two specialists among the best of the last few years, and the rest of the company less than a week away from that 7th place in Lake Louise which had already represented the best result in specialty for the very talented Swiss.
"I never thought I could do it so early, especially in super-g," explained Odermatt. "I was skiing well, but something was still missing for the great result, even in the final of last season. My race? I made a small mistake (so he defines it), but I didn't think too much about it because my mental state always makes me look ahead, pushing on the gas to the finish line ".
He does not look too far ahead, however, for those who predict him ahead even downhill and in particular Sunday in giant, here in Beaver Creek, but also from the standpoint of fighting for the general classification. "It's really too early, I can only think about race by race and go all out. This is my philosophy ".
