Rainer Senoner reconfirmed at the helm of the Saslong Classic Club: Werner Perathoner is also on the board

Second term for the president of the organizing committee of the World Cup races in Val Gardena; Markus Waldner was also present as a welcome guest.

The election for the presidency and the board of directors of the Saslong Classic Club, the organization that has been managing the World Cup races in Val Gardena for years, ended in the evening. All according to schedule, the only candidate after an excellent first term of work, Rainer Senoner has been confirmed at the helm of the partnership for the next four years; the members unanimously elected the 53-year-old from Selva Val Gardena, expressing their confidence also for the next legislative four-year period. "It is a great honor and a pleasure to continue to lead the Saslong Classic Club - Senoner's words in the press note issued by the organization after the re-election - Together with the board of directors, I would like to continue the journey undertaken and further work on improving the our structure. At the same time I will do my best to ensure that the Val Gardena races remain on the FIS calendar; year after year we have to give our best ". In addition to Senoner, Marcello Cobelli, Damiano Dell''Osbel, Horst Demetz, Moritz Demetz, Daniela Holzknecht, Igor Marzola, Manuela Perathoner, Werner Perathoner, Monika Runggaldier and Thomas Wielander will sit on the board of directors. The board is made up of ten members and will guide the fate of the Val Gardena World Cup Committee in the future. The board of auditors will instead be composed of Ivo Senoner, Thomas Weissensteiner and Hans Peter Perathoner. During the plenary assembly Paolo Cappadozzi was awarded for his precious support as president of the Val Gardena-Alpe di Siusi cableway consortium. Most welcome guest of the assembly was the chief race director of the men's World Cup, Markus Waldner, who will drive the FIS organizational machine, working as always in concert with the Gardena organizers led by Senoner, in the next appointment on the Saslong scheduled for 18 and 19 December with the now classic brace of super-downhill races.
