Almost nine months after the retirement, the biography of a great ski champion has been released.

As promised, with the arrival of November Aksel Lund Svindal presented his book, "Greater than me", in which he retraces an extraordinary career, with various perspectives of a journey concluded with the wonderful silver medal (2 cents from the title won by team-mate Kjetil Jansrud) in the downhill of the Are world championships.
While waiting for the biography to be translated into English and German for distribution on the European market, there is a much discussed topic in Norway; In fact, Svindal was interviewed by NRK regarding its possible role within the national federsci, which at present does not ... exist, as confirmed by the person concerned, not without a hint of bitterness.
"The federation has not contacted me anymore - the words of the Norwegian champion, winner of two absolute World Cups, five world titles and two Olympic gold medals - If they had read my book and not only excerpts in the newspapers, they would know that I can make a contribution, but it may also be that he is not able to offer anything to the boys of the future, since a good athlete may not necessarily be useful as a coach or in another role. Svindal was in Soelden, alongside the former national team-mates, in the days before the opening on the Rettenbach and, apparently, he would like to stay in the environment. Federsci's sports director, Claus Ryste, did not expose himself too much on the topic: "It hasn't been many months since his retirement and he is a very busy man, but it is obvious that it would be very positive if Aksel were interested in a role, with his experience he has a lot to offer ".
"I think his presence would be very useful and perfect for young people, but for all of us athletes, as a sparring partner," said his great friend Kjetil Jansrud, referring to a job role directly on track to have a continuous confrontation with Svindal - I refuse to believe that the federation does not want to have it with him, but I also think that Aksel does not want to devote himself full time to such a commitment. Time will settle everything, I am convinced of it â€, is the hope of the descent champion in office.
