The 80th edition of the most awaited races of the white circus is upon us: two tests between Wednesday and Thursday, then Friday the super-g and Saturday ... the Streif with Dominik Paris who wants poker (downhill).

It is the most awaited week, the most beautiful one, if we also want the most glamorous and richest (especially this year, with a record jackpot).
It will be a special edition for Kitzbuehel, the 80th of the Hahnenkammrennen, with a record prize pool and a battle that promises to be of the highest level between the jet men before and the aesthetes of the slalom for the great closing next Sunday on the Ganslern.
Wednesday will officially begin the five days of Kitz, the Austrian and world ski temple: there will be two downhill tests on the Streif (at 11.30), the most feared and respected track in the world. With the favorable weather, Markus Waldner opted for a less timed test (originally scheduled for Tuesday), in order to allow athletes to get to the best of the super-g on Friday, always scheduled at 11.30, and with a certain reserve of energy especially on the descent on Saturday.
"The" descent par excellence, which will take place again on January 25, exactly one year after the triumph of Dominik Paris in the 2019 edition, the third for the blue ace on the true Streif, from top to bottom, from the Mausefalle all''Hausbergkante; "Domme" has won twice less than the recordman Didier Cuche (who has also imposed himself once in super-g, like Paris), but always on the entire track, not as in the case of the Swiss champion.
And in Kitz, it makes a big difference.
