On the other hand, in Santa Caterina Valfurva they know well how to manage events of the highest level, after having hosted the maximum circuit in recent seasons; hence the two days of the men's European Cup on the "Deborah Compagnoni", scheduled for Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 December with the first alpine combined of the season at the continental level (after the female Kvitfjell), and the super-g the following day, promises to be of the highest standard.
There will be lots of Italians in speed, from Guglielmo Bosca to Florian Schieder, while the leader of the general classification after the first four technical tests of Funesdalen and Trysil, is the splendid Tommaso Sala seen in Sweden with the victory in slalom, and able to repeat himself with a resounding second place in the second Norwegian giant.
Today the arrival of all the teams in Alta Valtellina, expected from a ski area with 50 cm of white blanket on arrival and over a meter at the start of the races; free admission for the event organized by "Cancer Primo Aiuto Onlus", with the Monday combination starting at 10.00 am, with the super-g run on the track dedicated to the legendary female skier, then followed at 1.30 pm by the decisive slalom to assign the combined points.
Tuesday, instead, a new appointment at 10.00 for the dry race of super-g.
