The Norwegian champion, over a year after retiring from skiing, was able to celebrate two important events. And at the same time it helps former teammates.

In recent months there has been talk of the possibility that Aksel Lund Svindal entered the technical framework of the Norwegian Federsci on a permanent basis, but also after the publication of his autobiography, in which there was no lack of references to the disappointment for not being involved in this project, nothing has officially moved in that direction.
In reality, however, the two-time World Cup winner and Olympic descent at PyeongChang 2018 (after the super-g gold in Vancouver 2010), also in recent weeks has given a hand to the boys with whom he has competed up to goodbye to the races that took place at the Are World Cup 2019, on the occasion of the first training sessions in Hemsedal.
The last few days, however, have revealed two great successes for one of the most loved champions of the new millennium: Svindal had already made the first entrepreneurial investments in 2007 in terms of start-ups, but the big jump came with the '' entry into a company specialized in video conferencing solutions, Pexip was born in 2011. Aksel became a shareholder, acquiring a value of 3.6 million euros; last week, the company made the initial public sale, or the IPO, and in a single day the value of the shares increased by 1.6 million.
Svindal's own dad, Bjoern Olaf, has sold shares for over 2 million, and former teammate and close friend Kjetil Jansrud also has a small share of the shares.
Not only economic successes, but also on the private front: on Sunday 17 May, on the occasion of the national holiday, the former downhill racer confirmed the relationship with Amalie Iuel, athletics champion (holds the Norwegian record on the 400 obstacles) of almost 12 years younger. Before her, Aksel had had a couple of important engagements, from model Gitte Lill Paulsen to an athlete known in the white circus as Julia Mancuso, who had lived a good part of her career alongside her ex.
