A fairly obvious decision, in the wake of what was done first by Austria and then by Italy which announced in recent days the dispute without an audience of all the World Cup races scheduled for December.
Behind closed doors also every rehearsal of the French block expected in the coming weeks, with the Critérium de la Première Neige in three acts in the historic appointment of Val d''Isère, in addition to the women's stage in Courchevel. The transalpine federation chaired by Michel Vion confirmed today that "regardless of any government decision on the duration of the lockdown (currently scheduled until December 1, ed), all the World Cup events for the month of December will they will perform without spectators and guests, in order to ensure control of the health situation in collaboration with the municipalities and the various prefects ”.
On Friday 13 November, it should be remembered, there must be official confirmation of the Val d''Isère races by the FIS, starting with the two male giants on 5-6 December, followed by downhill and super-g on the Oreiller -Killy the following weekend (Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th), with the triptych completed from the 18th to the 20th of the month with two female descents and a super-g, again on the historic Haute Savoie track. On December 12-13, however, Courchevel will host the two giants dedicated to women, with France which will then have a hope of opening to the public (even if the chances will be clearly reduced) for the last "home" stage in that of Chamonix, with the men's slalom of 30-31 January 2021.
