The initiative of Fondazione Cortina 2021, together with the former basketball player Jacopo Pozzi, to link skiing to history, cinema and art.

It will be a long approach to the Alpine Ski World Championships, which Cortina d''Ampezzo will host from 7 to 21 February 2021.
Fondazione Cortina 2021 has decided to engage in a collaboration with "The Owl Post", a virtual space that in a short time has become the Italian home of sports storytelling, a place where the big names in sports talk about each other. The project was born precisely to tell the story of sport, skiing and its disciplines, athletes and their stories: every two Sundays, in fact, the Fondazione Cortina 2021 site will host an article created by The Owl Post, always using a point of new sight, thanks to the connections with cinema, history and art.
Jacopo Pozzi, former professional basketball player and founder of The Owl Post, said: “The collaboration between The Owl Post and Cortina 2021 stems from the desire to build an evocative and contaminated storytelling that gravitates around alpine skiing, to enhance the story of the next World Cup. The history of the discipline, the events of the past and the thoughts of today's champions create a narrative path that encompasses, in 20 stages, the whole process of approaching an event of this resonance.
Because the World Cup is one of those moments when news and history appear at the same time, immediately becoming memory. Our aim is to intercept the general public, passionate about skiing thanks to the beauty of the narrative, and to give further depth to those who, on the other hand, are already in love with it ".
Through this collaboration, moreover, Fondazione Cortina 2021 has become partner of the master's degree "Communicating sport" of the High School in Media Communication and Entertainment of the Catholic University of Milan. "We are very happy with the collaboration with The Owl Post which, in addition to contributing significantly to the storytelling of Cortina 2021, has also brought us among the students, thus stimulating a direct comparison with the world of sport," said Valerio Giacobbi, Administrator Delegate of the Cortina Foundation 2021.
