Here they are, the national teams of Italy for the 2020/21 season.
There are no big news compared to expectations, for the staff published by the federation in view of a preparation that will be complex already from the summer, with programs still to be defined due to Coronavirus.
Let's start with the men's team: with Alberto Ghidoni and Roberto Lorenzi who remain respectively responsible for speed and technical disciplines, as well as Theolier and Saracco driving slalom and giant, the elements from the World Cup were divided with Dominik Paris and Christof Innerhofer in the elite group, but in fact at work together with the other four boys of the speed group, namely Buzzi, Casse, Marsaglia and Prast.
For technical disciplines, the list includes Gross, Moelgg, Razzoli, Vinatzer, Maurberger, Liberatore, Sala, Borsotti, De Aliprandini, Tonetti and Hannes Zingerle. Despite the fixed position conquered in giant, thanks to the results obtained in the European Cup with the 2nd place in the final classification of specialties, therefore nothing to do for Roberto Nani who is only part of the group of "national interest" with Sorio, Zazzi, Vaccari and Gori.
For the European Cup, with Lorenzo Galli and Devid Salvadori always in their place as technical managers of speed and technical disciplines, here is Guglielmo Bosca, Cazzaniga, Molteni, Schieder, Canzio, Franzoni (highly anticipated after the explosion in recent months), Simoni , Franzoso, Zuccarini and Kastlunger, with the exclusion of Henri Battilani back from another complicated year and then hit by a serious knee injury.
Finally the juniors, always led by the manager Max Carca with the technicians Andrea Truddaiu and Max Blardone, with the vice world champion of the downhill category, Simon Talacci, together with Della Vite, Bendotti, Rizzi, Saccardi, Ploner, Pizio and Allegrini.
