A pity for Italy, which had pushed decisively for a strong candidacy on the part of Livigno for a suggestive and historic first, on the other hand the return of a piece of the history of skiing. The FIS congress, staged today in Constanta, has confirmed that Austria will host one of the main novelties of the 2020/21 World Cup, that is the weekend completely dedicated to the parallel and scheduled three weeks after the opening of Soelden, on 14-15 November 2020 (a week later there will be the classic Levi slalom). The agreement, among other things, is of a three-year nature and not just next season. The races will therefore take place in Zuers (which beat the competition, in addition to the Valtellina locality, the same Levi and Oslo), in the Vorarlberg area and in the Lech area that refers to those tracks at the last time; yes, because on 20-21 December 1994 two slaloms remained in history. On the first day, Alberto Tomba destroyed the competition, giving Thomas Sykora a second and a half, but 24 hours later the undertaking was even greater, with that miraculous rescue we all remember and the Bolognese able to reassemble and mock again the Austrian for 2 cents.
