Four days in Switzerland for the restart of the European Cup, with the first two women's descents of the season as regards the continental circuit and the two men's super-gs initially planned in Wengen which have been rescheduled on the fly.
Weather permitting, given that a lot of snow has fallen in the last few hours and the tests have been moved directly to Saturday, a few hours before descent number 1 on Mont Lachaux, in Crans-Montana the girls will compete on the weekend (with the second descent scheduled for Sunday) anticipating the arrival of the World Cup in the canton of Valais.
The men, after the cancellation of the Wengen stage, would have had to wait until the giants of January 22-23 in Folgaria to get back on track; last hours news of the recovery of the two Lauberhorn super-gs in Zinal, already on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 January in the same location which, last January 4-5, hosted two women's fast races.
Franzoni and his teammates will go on the hunt for important points, both in terms of specialty ranking for the permanent position towards the CdM 2021/2022, and for the general of the continental circuit.
