Latest FIS races in New Zealand, valid also for national championships.

At Coronet Peak the classic opening event of the season ended with a double slalom, male and female, which also saw several blues on the track.

The New Zealand title went to Willis Feasey (14th), while Italy finished in 6th place with Alex Hofer, 4 tenths from the podium, and 7th in a Roberto Nani looking for good sensations even in slalom. Instead, Daniele Sorio (3rd giant the previous day) and Pietro Franceschetti came out in the 1st round, and Stefano Baruffaldi (2nd among the wide doors) and the young Lorenzo Thomas Bini derailed in the second one.
Now all at Mount Hotham, on the Australian snows, for the launch of the Australian New Zealand Cup which includes the first races from 19 to 22 August; as for the other hemisphere, after the El Bolson competitions, it will remain in Argentina for the other tests of the South American Cup, scheduled for Thursday 15 and Friday 16 August in Chapelco, where two giants will be played for men and two for the women's sector, with a valid test also as national championship.
