It has been called the "1970 World Ski Championship Anniversary Party", or a special evening, to be held on December 20, to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of that historic world championship. Five decades have passed since the history of skiing in Val Gardena was written: with their exceptional performances on the Saslong, the Cir, the 3 of the Ciampinoi or on the Ronce, many athletes have given show and contributed to the fame of the Gardena and the slopes whole valley. We are talking about great champions like MichÃ¨le Jacot, Ingrid Lafforgue, AnnerÃ¶sli Zryd, Annemarie Moser Proell, Florence Steurer-Penz, Bernhard Russi or Patrick Russel. They will be the stars at the center of the appointment set for Friday, December 20 (race day of the Super-g Cup on the Saslong and a few hours from the legendary descent), starting at 7.30 pm in the VIP Saslounge marquee at the finishing stage of the Saslong. In addition to Jacot, Lafforgue, Zryd, Moser Proell, Steurer-Penz, Russi and Russel, there will also be Dumeng Giovanoli and the Italian skiing legend, Gustav Thoeni. "We will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1970 World Ski Championships with a memorable evening in an exclusive setting. Among the highlights will be an exquisite gala dinner, the '70s open bar with musical entertainment of the band' 'The Giggers, a performance by comedian Lukas Lobis, aka Kevin Kostner, and the chance to meet in person the award-winning 1970 World Cup ski champions, "explains Rainer Senoner, president of the Saslong Classic Club. The ticket price is 100 euros per person.
