Today the positive snow control for the women's race on Sunday 3 and the men's one three days later. Last year Vlhova and Noel triumphed, with Vinatzer on the first podium.

Snow and cold in recent weeks had made it possible to prepare the long Croatian slope already at its best, so there was little doubt that today, on the occasion of the traditional FIS pre-race inspection, a green light would be indicated.
And so it was, with Zagreb which will regularly host the opening slalom of 2021, on the Sljeme hill for the now traditional "Snow Queen Trophy": Sunday 3 January women will compete, with heats scheduled at 12.30 and at 16.00, on Wednesday 6 instead the men (12.15 and 15.30, also in this case with the 2nd heat under the spotlight). There will be three days of difference, as has already happened in the past, since then the women's sector will have the long weekend in St. Anton with the tests of the descent already on 7 January, while the men will move quickly towards Adelboden for the first of the two giants on the Chuenisbargli, Friday 8.
In Zagreb we will go in search of the heir of Petra Vlhova, who in 2020 managed to beat Mikaela Shiffrin, and of Clément Noel for the first time King in Croatia, overcoming by a whisker Ramon Zenhaeusern and Alex Vinatzer, who in Sljeme conquered the first podium in the World Cup. A few days ago the second arrived in Campiglio and in about ten days, there is no doubt, the Val Gardena will be among the most anticipated men.
