The blue grass skiing, awaiting the World Cup finals scheduled from September 12th to 15th in Schilpario, concluded the event with the tricolors of Tambre, in the province of Belluno, with a final day that saw the organizers forced to interrupt the competitions at the end of the first round, assigning the titles of giant without completing the program.
In the senior category the title went to Lorenzo Gritti on Filippo Zamboni and Daniele Buio (who had graduated from the slalom champion), Monica Ferrighetto preceded Margherita Mazzoncini among the women. In the young tricoloris in Zamboni and Ferrighetto, in the successful students of Andrea Iori and Federica Libardi, Nathan Segnati and Elena Iori have established themselves among the boys, while Gianluca Innocente Pergolese and Lisa Anastasia Lucchese, among the baby Mattia Garollo and Diletta Vigolo.
As said, the Bergamo area will make all the fans experience the last big event of the season: the 2019 World Cup will be decided on the slopes of Schilpario and there is a blue in full swing for the general crystal ball . It would be the seventh of an extraordinary career for Edoardo Frau, called to recover 70 points against the Czech Martin Bartak, who seemed to be falling in the last few races.
The 39-year-old native of Asiago will lead a team, set up by the dt Fausto Cerentin, with 17 players in the race starting from the super-combined on Thursday: Mattia Arrigoni, Lorenzo Gritti, Daniele Buio, Alessandro Martinelli, Federica Milesi, Antonella Manzoni, Filippo Zamboni, Pietro Guerini, Marco Combi, Nicolò Schiavetti, Monica Ferrighetto, Margherita Mazzoncini, Edoardo Frau, Alberto Bleynat, Fabrizio Rottigni, Nicolò Libardoni and Federica Milesi. Together with the athletes there will be the technicians Faustro Cerentin, Roberto Parisi, Gualtiero Guenza and Mauro Martini.
The races at Schilpario will start on Thursday 12th, when a supergiant is scheduled at 10.45 am and then a slalom with a start set at 2.45 pm to complete the super combined. On Friday the slaloms (heats at 10.15 am and 2.15 pm), the giants on Saturday (same hours) and the grand finale on Sunday with the super-g (10.45 am).
