Cogne ready for the Cross-Country World Cup

The Prati del Sant''Orso whitens waiting for the landlord Federico Pellegrino.

The return of the World Cup to Cogne in Val d'Aosta on 16 and 17 February is approaching. The desire to review the champions on the snowy meadows of Sant''Orso is so great and the experts are busy preparing the city for the best this international event that has been missing since 2006. The slopes begin to whiten, of artificial snow, but the location of Gran Paradiso wants to be found ready for live worldwide. The sprint races, the 10 km and 15 km female and male will be broadcast live on Rai 2. Ready to see maybe a Federico Pellegrino battle for success in the home race. The last memory of a blue on the highest step of the podium dates back to 2001 with the magnificent victory of Cristian Zorzi. The Italian stage will be an excellent test for athletes who will be there in a few days at the world of Seefeld in Austria that will start from 21 February. To precede everything there will be a test event from 1 to 3 February where will be disputed: the Mini MarciaGranParadiso, the Italian Championships Absolute and the Italian Cup. There will also be guests like Stefania Belmondo and Marco Albarello, technical director of the World Cup, who will take part in the Vitalini Speed Contest. To close the 3 days there will be the magnificent MarciaGranParadiso at its 37th edition. A very concentrated program that will put a strain on the organizational machine planned for the main event.
