Italy’s representatives selected for the Rollerski World Championships: 17 athletes in Madona, led by Becchis, Mortagna, Epis and Ghiddi

The top rollerskiing circuit, which will then conclude from 18 to 20 September in Val di Fiemme, will get underway from 28 to 30 August on the Swedish roads of Trollhaettan, but the major event of the season is already on the horizon: the Madona World Championships.

From Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 September, 17 Italian athletes will compete in Latvia; FISI announced the selections this morning, with 10 seniors and 7 athletes from the junior national team. Leading the way is Sprint multiple world champion Emanuele Becchis, the spearhead of a men’s team with plenty of firepower, including Riccardo Lorenzo Masiero, Michele Valerio, Giovanni Lorenzetti, Riccardo Munari, Alessio Berlanda and Tommaso Dellagiacoma, while the women’s team will rely on Alba Mortagna, Anna Maria Ghiddi and Maria Eugenia Boccardi.

At youth level, the men’s quartet consists of Davide Piccinini, Federico Sartori, Stefano Epis and Alessandro Tazzioli, while the three girls are sisters Aurora and Maria Invernizzi, along with Nicole Falanelli.
