After the doubts that arose in recent weeks, positive news for the world of Nordic skiing arrives from the official channels of the FIS: the Junior World Championships (under 23) of Vuokatti-Lahti have been confirmed!
The local health authorities, together with the Task Force of the world event, deemed it feasible to hold the event (February 8-14) from a health and safety point of view; On Friday, the jumping competitions were confirmed, which will be held in Lahti, and with the approval of the health protocol for the cross-country skiing competitions, which will take place in Vuokatti, safety will be guaranteed for athletes, technicians and professionals .
So, with the arrival of this news, the organizers and the participating teams can breathe a sigh of relief, since the world championship event seemed really in serious discussion until a week ago, when the organizing committee had invited the various federations of participating nations to wait before booking flights to Finland.
