From Glorenza to Melago, a very successful international event in the challenge valid for the Challengers circuit of Ski Classics. All the results and the return to the podium of "Didi" Noeckler.

Winter trials, in the heart of Val Venosta, with the Vikings descending on roller skis to dictate the law. It was the first edition of “La Venosta Skiroll”, valid for the Challengers circuit of Ski Classics, a long ride from Glorenza to Melago under a light drizzle and snow to caress the highest peaks.
With cross-country skis or roller skis, Norwegians are indisputably masters, but this time there is also a strong Italian flavor in the men's and women's podiums. Patrick Fossum Kristoffersen, bearer of Robinson Trentino, won among the males, while at the female level the success went to Anikken Gjerde Alnes of Team Ragde Charge, the same as Joar Thele, second and able under the arrival banner to anticipate for the South Tyrolean of the FFOOs, Dietmar Noeckler, who competes with the colors of Team Robinson Trentino in long distances, is nothing.
The women's podium of the 35 km in classic technique was completed by the other Norwegian Jenny Larsson of Team Ragde and the Swedish of Team Internorm Malin Boerjesjoe. Team Robinson won in the 11 km test valid for the Italian Cup, with the two new entries Rebecca Bergagnin and Michaela Patscheider. Also in the race the masters (11 km), among which the success was the prerogative of Giuseppe Antonio Gervasoni. The race in the first kilometers from Glorenza was not very lively. All the best took the lead to keep pace, descending almost to Sluderno and then passing through Glorenza. Soon after, Masiero, Busin, Thele and Noeckler took the lead, closely followed by Galassi, Kristoffersen and Nygaard.
The first real racing action was on the esplanade overlooking the lake on San Valentino. Noeckler gave a vigorous acceleration, behind Thele, Busin and Kristoffersen seem to lose the fleeting moment. Then the four find themselves in a row to the other on the state road that runs along the Resia, Kristoffersen launches the offensive, the other three remain petrified, the Norwegian of Team Robinson Trentino earns almost 30 "in a flash and leaves alone. It is the crucial moment of the race. Noeckler is not there, he seeks collaboration from the two escape companions, who give him the change, but the pace is slower than that set by Kristoffersen.
At the beginning of the long climb that rears towards Melago, the Norwegian always boasts a nice stack of seconds, about thirty. Behind on the first ramps Busin gives up and slows down, while Noeckler and Thele push hard in double poling, reducing the gap to 20 ”, but Kristoffersen does not give up and goes on to win, always under the usual rain. Stops the clock on a good 1h39''32 ”, the two pursuers duel for second place, Thele stretches a little, Noeckler gives up and the podium is done: Kristoffersen, Thele and the blue third.
Uphill Kardin removes Busin, who however manages to contain Nygaard and Aukland, all of Team Ragde Charge. Brigadoi is 8th ahead of Masiero and Galassi.
The women's race has no history. Anikken Gjerde, Jenny Larsson and Malin Boerjesjoe take up positions and remain in order throughout the race. The Venosta Skiroll was also open to the very young: Thea Moser and Noe Moser (U10), Tobias Schwingshackl and Maddalena Pavan (U12), Oscar Gianola and Aurora Invernizzi (U14), Maria Invernizzi and Davide Piccinini (U16) and finally Carlo Cantal (Young). Gerald Burger, head of the organization, was particularly satisfied at the end of the day: the first edition, weather aside, was a success.
The presence of some talented foreign athletes has further qualified the event and now the Val Venosta and Vallelunga look to winter, in December there is the cross-country ski Venosta.
