Pinkelnig ahead in the Villach qualifying, the three blues ok. The Tour starts on Wednesday

Ski jumping: the Austrian with the best score in the first act of the Silvester Tournament. Next Lara Malsiner, her sister Jessica and Martina Ambrosi. Tomorrow the race to anticipate the men's qualification in Oberstdorf.

It began with the qualification of the competition that we will see in a few hours in Villach, the 2022/23 edition of the Silvester Tournament, the Christmas tour in the female version that will see the girls protagonists first in Austria, then on the Slovenian trampoline in Ljubno. Waiting for the first race of the series which, of course, also assigns World Cup points, and is scheduled for Wednesday starting at 2.15 pm (with live TV on Eurosport 1), here is Eva Pinkelnig in front of everyone. The Austrian brings home 132.5 points and takes first place ahead of the German Selina Freitag (130.3 pts). Best jump (94 meters) for the Slovenian Ema Klinec, who lost a few points between style and compensation stopping at an altitude of 128.3, in front of her compatriot Nika Kriznar (125.4). All three blue women entered in the competition pass the cutting phase: Lara Malsiner, the elder of the two sisters from Ortisei, settled in 23rd position with 107.0 points, followed by Jessica, 29th with 103.1 points, with Martina Ambrosi who finished in 37th place, with 88.9 pts. Wednesday will be a great day of jumping, given that after the girls' challenge, Oberstdorf's qualification starts at 16.30 (live on Eurosport 1), in the first of the four events that make up the Four Hills Tournament. Giovanni Bresadola, Alex Insam and Francesco Cecon will be the three Azzurri representatives in the 71st edition of the central appointment of the season.
