Stroem manages to beat the queen Pinkelnig: race-1 speaks Norwegian in Ljubno, the grand finale on Sunday

Female jumping: penultimate appointment of the Silvester Tournament, with the first triumph in CdM for Anna Odine Stroem who mocks the dominatrix of the general by 9 tenths. Fair 16th place for Lara Malsiner, the only blue in the points.

It is Anna Odine Stroem who signs the feat in the third race of the Silvester Tournament, beating the one who had made a void in the two Villach challenges, Eva Pinkelnig. The Austrian was amazing on the second jump of test number 1 in Ljubno, but the Norwegian's response was equally high-level: despite losing 2.9 pts to the leader of the general classification (and naturally of the post-Christmas event), Stroem resisted the veteran from Vorarlberg by 9 tenths, thus winning her first World Cup triumph. On the Slovenian trampoline, it is Germany that takes the third step of the podium with Katharina Althaus, mocking the landlady Ema Klinec, fourth with only 4 tenths of a second, while Sara Takanashi recovers up to fifth place, ahead of the other Slovenian Nika Kriznar, impressive for her consistency and still sixth. Too bad for Lara Malsiner, sixth in qualifying yesterday and unlucky for the conditions found in the first series: a good second jump led the Val Gardena to recover up to 16th, the only Italian in the points since her sister Jessica was excluded by a whisker. 31st, like Martina Ambrosi further away. Sunday 1 January, from 4.30 pm, the grand finale of the Silvester Tournament with the second race scheduled again in Ljubno.
