ADDITIONAL PREQUALIFICATIONS A most immediate novelty concerns the abolition of pre-qualified. This means that even the top 10 athletes in the World Cup standings will have to face qualification with the risk of being eliminated if they fail to enter the top 50.
The change will be tested during the Summer Grand Prix 2017 and, after the experimental phase, during the autumn meeting will decide whether to confirm it or not for the upcoming World Cup.
THE FEMALE TEAM EVENT AT THE WORLD The next season's calendar has confirmed the birth of the women's event team at the top of the circuit. However, it is news that this format of the race will also become part of the World Cup program, probably from the 2019 edition.
It remains to be understood what will be the future of mixed-team test, that is, the new format if it is joined to it, or whether it will replace it.
