From Trondheim, the Jumping World Cup ski moved to Vikersund, where tomorrow will dispute a match valid as a recovery of the deleted in Lillehammer. From here to the end of the season it's good to beat the world record, currently set at 251.5 meters.

 HISTORY Vikersund we have testimony of jumping competitions on skis since 1894. The first permanent installation, called Vikersundbakken, was built in 1936 and later renovated and converted into a flying trampoline in 1964.
In the coming years the property has been completely redone and, in 2010, became the first to be designed following the latest parameters set by the FIS for Flying hills, acts to increase the size of the same, becoming the favored setting for establishing the world record, shot down 4 times in the last five years.
The 11 February 2011, the Norwegian Johan Remen Evensen landed the first 243 meters in training and then to 246.5 in qualifying, thus improving for two times in a few hours the world record set in 2005 by compatriot Bjørn Einar Romøren in Planica (239 ).
After February 14, 2015 Peter Prevc became the first man in history to reach the 250 meters. His record, however, has been very short-lived because the next day the Norwegian Anders Fannemel even went up to 251.5.
It should not be forgotten how in the same competition the Russian Dimitry Vassiliev has even touched 254.5 meters, but was unable to remain standing. The fall has prevented the provision to be approved as a world record, but it remains the longest jump ever made by a human being.
To date in that Vikersund they have played 4 Flying World Cup skiing (1977, 1990, 2000 and 2012) in addition to 21 races valid for the World Cup.
So far, in 25 top-level competitions, they climbed on the highest step of the podium 15 different athletes. The absolute record holder in terms of successes is Gregor Schlierenzauer, who imposed in well 4 occasions (2009, two in 2011, 2013).
The 'Austrian, however, is hunted by two other jumpers in business, arrived at an altitude of 3. It is of Slovenian Robert Kranjec (World Championship gold in 2012, a success in 2013, one in 2016) and Peter Prevc (once it imposed in 2015 and two in 2016). The first, however, will not be the game, as injured, just like Severin Freund (winner in one of two trials of 2015).
