Two weeks in Anterselva for the men's national team, Giacomel also included in the altitude camp

At the Olympic venue, from Monday 14 to Saturday 26 September, the Italian biathletes will undertake a crucial block of training: the athlete from Trentino, in the final phase of his recovery, will follow a targeted programme while once again training alongside his teammates.

While the women's World Cup group is training at Passo Lavazé, together with Lukas Hofer, who has joined the team led by Lisa Vittozzi, it is now time for the men's national team to head up to altitude, in Anterselva, for a key camp at this stage of their preparations.

Technical director Klaus Hoellrigl has called up six athletes from the A and Elite teams for almost two weeks of training, scheduled from 14 to 26 September: Didier Bionaz, Patrick Braunhofer, Elia Zeni, Christoph Pircher, Nicola Romanin and Tommaso Giacomel, who is continuing his individual recovery programme following the shoulder injury he suffered at the beginning of the summer.

They will be accompanied by coaches Fabio Cianciana and Andrea Zattoni.
