It will not be held in Canada, due to the regulations relating to Covid, the world championship event scheduled from 5 to 7 February 2021.

Five months after what would have been the central appointment of the 2020/21 season, the artificial luge circuit has to give up the world championships scheduled, from 5 to 7 February 2021, on Whistler's gut.
The world championship event in Canada has therefore been officially canceled, for the 50th edition of a World Cup that FIL has announced that it will reassign, in the coming weeks, to another location. As happened for the World Cup events between alpine skiing, speed skating and short track, the North American country had to raise the white flag due to the restrictions related to Covid, following the government provisions and considering in particular the problem related to international travel and to enter Canada, with a 14-day quarantine for foreign athletes. “Under current regulations, such an important event cannot normally be held,” said FIL Executive Director Christoph Schweiger, thanking the Canadian Tobogganing Federation for going all out to the last.
Whistler has always been a very welcome gut to the blue leader, Dominik Fischnaller, already U23 world champion in the Canadian town, on the occasion of the previous world championships hosted in 2013, and also on the podium last year in the World Cup. All that remains is to wait and see if Europe (as likely) will host a very special 2021 edition of the world championships, since it is the 50th anniversary.
