The FIL has formalized the introduction of the specialty, with six events in the World Cup dedicated to the youngest.

The Executive Board of the International Tobogganing Federation has voted to introduce the women's doubles specialty on an artificial slope, which will award the world title for the first time in the next winter season during the 37th edition of the Junior World Championships, which will be held on 28/29 January 2022 in Winterberg, Germany.
The format, which aims to enter the Olympic program for the Milan-Cortina 2026 edition, will be tested during the next Junior World Cup and involves six competitions in three different locations. Specifically, the calendar of the CdM junior / youth 2021/22 includes the first two stages in La Plagne, France, from 29 November to 4 December, then the third appointment in Innsbruck (6-11 December), another " double ”in Oberhof from 13 to 19 December, the sixth stage in Bludenz (Austria) from 11 to 16 January 2022 and then the great appointment with the world championships on German gut.
