After the cancellation of the final tests in Moscow, FIL has announced that there will be no further appointments. The World Cup was then officially awarded to Evelin Lanthaler (women's single), with her sixth career seal, Alex Gruber for her first in the men's single and Pigneter-Clara in the doubles.

Italy won en plein in the World Cup for luge on natural track, following the cancellation of the finals of the maximum circuit scheduled in Moscow, Russia, and the failure to recover them.
European champion Alex Gruber, with an advantage of only 5 points, secured the first crystal ball of his career in the men's singles, thanks to the 430 final points. Austrian Thomas Kammerlander finished in second place at 425 points, ahead of last year's winner of the general classification, the other white and red Michael Scheikl stopped at 380 points.
More and more legend Evelin Lanthaler, unbeaten this season with a row of five victories and who can now officially celebrate his sixth World Cup in the women's singles, the fifth in a row. The other blue Greta Pinggera took second place with 380 points, followed by the Teutonic Lisa Walch with 345. In the doubles, veterans Patrick Pigneter and Florian Clara were already certain of the final triumph, closing the year too. World Cup undefeated; is the thirteenth career crystal ball for the extraordinary Italian duo, ahead of the Austrian twins Fabian Achenrainer / Simon Achenrainer and the continental champions, the Russians Pavel Porshnev / Ivan Lazarev.
Italy which naturally also won the cup for nations with 3328 points, followed by Austria (2489 pt) and Russia (2089 pt).
