Although it is still unknown whether the ski resorts in Argentina will open this summer, the Camara Argentina de Centros de Esqui y Turismo de Montaña has assured that it is preparing the health protocols.

Argentina is often a destination for foreign skiers such as Brazilians and national Alpine Ski World Cup teams who this summer will most likely not be able to reach it for training as it seems that the areas, if they open, will be accessible only to local tourists.
"The idea of opening is there. In fact, an operational protocol is being prepared which must be approved by the Municipality, the Province and the Nation ", said Pablo Torres García, President of the Chamber which brings together the main ski centers such as La Hoya, Catedral, Chapelco, Castor, Las Leñas , Cerro Bayo and Caviahue.
The protocol being developed will include several aspects including how companies operate, measuring the temperature for tourists, how to react in the event of a fever and the rules for using the ski lifts.
Chile is also working on a possible opening of the ski lifts.
