From the snow plow to the diagonal with parallel skis - P.14 - Beginners ski course

After learning how to make sequences of snowplow bends, you can also try to cross the entire track to move at your leisure along long diagonals. It could be very tiring to completely snow plow them! Better to learn to bring the skis together and put them parallel.

So during the turn and at the end of the turn, just make sure you are firmly resting on the outer foot (the one that remains at the bottom at the end of the bend), keep your balance on that foot and let the inner foot stop sweeping the snow and come closer. to the external one. The skis are now parallel and you can proceed across the track. But be careful: have you chosen the right direction of the diagonal or are you on a too steep diagonal and risk taking too much speed? Pay attention to this aspect, try once to close the curve almost going up with the tips towards the slope, but also try the opposite, that is to "let go" the curve first; gaining experience you will be able to instinctively understand the right line to take, even in situations of different slopes.
