We have so far talked about fundamental body parts such as the foot, the hips and the pelvis ... In this episode we will explain the use of the little finger and you will probably wonder how important it can be in skiing ...

The little finger is important for the coordination and the fluidity of the whole action of the skier ... Let's see how: while I rest a stick (eg the left to start the curve to the left), the little finger of the opposite hand lets the other's tip fall towards the ground stick, to start immediately the preparation for the next curve.
Recall that the little finger is the first finger that must let go of the stick but obviously the ring and middle fingers are also involved, while the thumb and index finger support the stick.
The fall movement of the stick in the first part of the new curve, "releasing the grip" in succession with the little finger, the ring finger and the middle finger, allows us to continue in the second part of the curve with a fluid action of hand and wrist in the adjust the amplitude of the oscillation and the strength or total delicacy of the support for the new curve
Below is the sequence of the rod release phase.
