Livigno represents an authentic open-air gym for all kinds of sports, and practicing your discipline at high altitude definitely helps you get back in shape and prepare for the best, as many champions of different specialties have always done in the location that many define the "Little Tibet".
The President of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana updated the previous provisions for the containment of Covid-19 with a new regional ordinance (n. 541 of 7 May 2020) that many sportsmen had long expected. The ordinance allows the reopening of sports facilities, centers and sites where you can practice individual outdoor sports and includes some provisions starting from Friday 8 May, which allow individual outdoor sports such as: athletics, cycling, running, tennis, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, golf, archery, shooting, canoeing, individual water sports, rowing, sport climbing etc.
And so Livigno, an authentic natural "sports field", gradually opens its facilities. Since yesterday, the new athletics track inaugurated last summer is available, which went to complete the "altitude training" package. A system particularly appreciated by enthusiasts and professionals, which allows you to practice athletics with all the facilities at 1800 meters above sea level. The athletic track of Livigno can be used with a daily (5 euro) or seasonal (89 euro) rate and with particular reductions for over 65, juniors, disabled people, residents and for Lombardy ASD members. From 6.30 to 10.00 and from 18.00 to 20.30 you can access the track by subscription to the Aquagranda center, while from 10.00 to 18.00 the ticket can be purchased directly at the reception of the structure.
The track can be used in full compliance with the regulations regarding the containment of the Covid-19 virus, all illustrated on site for sportsmen as the obligation to respect the interpersonal distance of at least two meters, if it is a sporting activity, or a meter, if it is simple motor activity. The popular cycle track, practically flat, suitable for the training of athletes or simple sportsmen, is also open and accessible and available for pleasant outings in an environment of absolute beauty, one more reason to leave the quarantined days behind .
Soon, also the opening of the outdoor tennis court, golf and biathlon. In the meantime, we must not forget that the first trails for trail running and the roads for cycling can also be used.
