Over 500 ski resorts in Europe have closed the winter season early due to the coronavirus.

About half of the closed stations are located in Italy. Yesterday, Thursday 12 March, the closure of Austria's ski resorts was also announced, including the most renowned ones such as Kitzbuhel and Innsbruck.
Even in Norway many ski areas have reported the closure including the famous Trysil. The plants have also stopped working in Ticino, Switzerland, and in some stations in Slovakia such as Jasna.
Some ski areas have announced that they want to try to offer a few more days on skis at the end of the season, in April or in early May. But this can only be decided on the basis of the evolution of the Covid-19 emergency situation.
