Due to the health emergency and restrictions in place both in the United Kingdom, where it is difficult to travel to go abroad, and in other countries, the tour operators of the Hotelplan Uk Group have canceled their ski holidays for the month of December. A hard blow for winter tourism if you consider that in the United Kingdom trips are organized almost exclusively by relying on the experience of tour operators.

Inghams, Ski Total, Esprit and Flexiski have announced that in December, including the Christmas holiday period, they will not be staying in the snow.
Hotelplan Uk, the Group to which the four tour operators are part, said that it was an "extremely difficult decision", but necessary due to the continuing uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Group's first holidays were due to leave the UK on 12 December. It seems that around 2000 people had booked their holidays for December and that they will now be offered a refund or the option to book later.
Inghams, the largest of the four tour operators, plans to organize holidays in 77 resorts and eight countries this winter: France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Canada, Andorra, Slovenia and Lapland.
Esprit, on the other hand, is a tour operator specializing in ski holidays for families with children with destinations in France and Italy.
At present, however, it is difficult or impossible for people in the UK to travel to most of these destinations.
"We know this will be a huge disappointment for our customers, so it's not a decision we made easily. But the safety of our guests and staff continues to be our top priority," said Joe Ponte, Hotelplan UK CEO, at PlanetSki,
“We are still confident that he can start the ski season this winter, even if it starts later. We will try to continue offering ski holidays in the safest way possible. " Joe Ponte continued.
