After 15 editions, this year Alta Quota, the fair dedicated to the mountain and outdoor that was held in Bergamo in October, will not take place. A difficult choice for the organizers, given the large number of passionate visitors that every year managed to attract the event with the presence of tourism companies and producers of technical sports equipment.

"We had to suspend the demonstration because we had a contemporary that could neither be anticipated nor postponed. This is a new fair in the dairy sector that includes an important international award. Making different assessments, we thought that unfortunately this year we could not guarantee High Altitude exposure even on other dates because our calendar does not allow it, â€explains Alessandro Pagnoni, High Quota project manager.
"There has been no drop in visitors - continues Alessandro Pagnoni - Indeed, exhibitors have requested to find another location. Logistically we found it difficult to find a place that could host a fair like Alta Quota in Bergamo that needs both interior and exterior spaces. The fair had a presence in recent times that stood at around 35/37000 people per year. It is also true that we had free admission and the entity estimated it through the entrance to the parking lot which was for a fee. The format and target we were targeting matched and the companies were satisfied. We had to make a heavy choice because the other project is of high importance, it is not second level. This was the final choice ".
"There is the will to be able to propose the Alta Quota fair next year, but I think that evaluations will be made based on the feedback that the dairy sector event will have, whose interest is to propose it annually and then every two years. For the High Altitude exhibition, the Lombardy Region has made itself available to attend and has always been interested. Only in the coming months will we know if he will return to the Bergamo Fiera calendar â€concludes Alessandro Pagnoni.
