All Season tires, when to use them and which ones to choose

All Season tires, also commonly called four-season tires, are the alternative to winter tires for those who prefer not to change seasonally and always keep the same.

As can be assumed from the name, All Season tires can be used in all seasons of the year, whatever the weather condition. They can maintain adherence on any type of road, whether it is wet, icy, covered with snow or dry. It is important, however, that during winter they are not used when the temperature drops below 5 degrees and in summer when the temperature rises above 35 large. Suitable for those who travel a few miles a year, about 25,000, main characteristics of the All Season tires are the carcass, the compound and the tread pattern. Although the All Season tires respect the Highway Code, in winter, in the mountains, it is preferable to have the thermal tires because they have greater grip and therefore are safer, but if you prefer to keep the tires all season it is important that they have the words M + S (or even MS, M & S, MS) which means Mud more Snow, in Italian mud plus snow. Better yet, if this symbol is flanked by the symbol of winter tires (snowflake) which guarantees greater safety when the temperature falls below 7 degrees. According to a recent test carried out by the Quattroruote magazine on a Fiat Punto that fitted the size 205/55 16, the three best all-season tires are Goodyear Vector 4Season Gen-2, Pirelli Cinturato Allseason + and the Continental AllSeasonContact. Despite the All season tires are a good opportunity for those traveling in places with temperatures not too hot in summer and not too cold in winter, it is always prudent to keep in your car accessories that can be useful for any eventuality.
